The Hong Kong Kyokushin Kaikan was established in 1996 to promote karate in a not for profit format. It hopes that through the practice of karate, more people can cultivate discipline, perseverance, persistence and a sense of responsibility. Karate is also a kind of Budo that brings physical fitness. Practitioners will be able to train their hearts and minds, on top of honing their skills and fitness.
For children, practicing Kyokushin karate helps to develop their body coordination, improve their thinking and reaction. Through disciplined trainings, one can improve concentration and willpower, all contributing to academic learning.
Most adults nowadays are usually lack of exercise, practicing Kyokushin karate can improve both physical fitness and willpower, acquiring skills in self-defence and boosting self-confidence in order to cope with challenges in work and in life.
We are the only authorised branch of the International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan (All Japan Kyokushin Union) in Hong Kong. Any other organisation and dojo in Hong Kong and southern China promoting karate in the name of Kyokushin has no association with us.
